HOW SOLAR Power WORKS

1. Solar PV or Photovoltaic cells absorb sunlight and convert the energy from the sun into a DC current.
2. Because homes are powered using AC current, the energy is sent through an inverter which converts the electricity.
3.  Electricity then flows through your home’s breaker box, providing electricity to the home.
4. The meter used in solar powered homes measure current to and from both your solar panels and the utility grid. Unused surplus energy then flows back into the utility grid, resulting in a credit from the electricity company, or into a battery system intended to store excess electricity.
